In Dump Truck Dispatcher, a job is an order with a single line item. Orders may have more than 1 line item. When an order has more than one line item, each line item is considered a job.

Yes, an order or job can be deleted after it has been saved if it has no other data such as truck assignments, tickets, or loads. If the order has associated data, you can either delete that data and then delete the order, or you can “Cancel” using the menu button for the associated order. Note that you can’t always delete the associated data since we may prevent you from deleting some data.
If you click on the menu button on a row of the schedule, you’ll see an “Edit Job” menu item. Clicking that menu option will open the “Edit Job” dialog.
Navigate to the Dump Truck Dispatcher “Schedule”. You’ll find an “Add Job” button in the menu accessible from the menu button at the top of the schedule. Clicking this button and choosing the “Add Job” option will open a “Add/Edit Job” dialog. Choose a “Designation” of “Freight Only” and specify the “Freight UOM” as “Hours”
You can’t drop a pin directly into an order. Instead, you create a named location using the “Location” menu. You can drop a pin on the “Add Location” screen. Once the location has been added via “Locations”, you can choose this location in the “Load At” and “Deliver To” controls on the order. When this location is passed to the driver app, it will be as geo coordinates instead of as an address.
When multiple trucks are assigned to a job or order line, the material quantity should be the total material the customer wants for the job. When you are dispatching the loads, you need to take into account how many dispatches will be needed to complete the job and assign the appropriate number of dispatches.
While you can create a separate line on the order for accessorial or miscellaneous charges, there are a few disadvantages. First is the time to create the job. Then, you have to be sure not to dispatch it, but remember to add a ticket so that it can be billed.
Another approach is to add the charge directly to the invoice. The downside to this is that you need to have a way to get the information to billing so that it doesn’t get missed.
We are working on a way to add these accessorial charges to a job so that no additional job needs to be created.
