Release 2.9.0.43

Overview

This was a major update where we upgraded to the latest Microsoft .NET Core 9 framework for enhanced security and performance. This upgrade also included replacing numerous libraries. We included a few small requests along with this.

Add Travel Time to Hourly Jobs

There may be cases where you have an agreement with a customer that you are allowed a specified amount of travel time for a job being billed at an hourly rate. If this is functionality you would like to use, submit a ticket and we’ll enable the feature for you. Currently, it is only enabled for one tenant.

When this feature is enabled, you’ll see an additional travel time control on a quote line item and the “Add/Edit Job” dialog. If the job is created from a quote, the value will be copied to the job.

When a time in minutes is added to this control, and an hourly job is completed, the travel time is added to the time between the start and end time on job on ticket creation in the native driver app. This isn’t supported on the web-based driver app.

This value has been added to the delivery report.

This functionality only works when the “Separate Freight and Material Items” feature is enabled.

Added load time and travel time to the delivery report when the tenant is configured to allow for a travel time for billing purposes.

Handling Locations

There were cases where two locations might be close together so that only one location could be added. This change allows you to add both locations and changes some of the logic related to when the address information updates when the pin is moved on the map.

Invoice Related Changes

PO and Job Numbers were added to template #8.

PO Numbers were added to the grouped invoice templates.

Added the ability to export invoices that aren’t intended to be imported into your accounting system. This will help you with the cases where you want an invoice file that you can analyze. Click the “Yes” button if this file will be imported into your accounting system. This will mark the invoices as exported, and the file will not include any invoices that have already been exported. Click the “No” button if this file is for analysis. This option doesn’t change the status of the invoices to exported and will include all invoices meeting the search criteria.

Miscellaneous

Used a stronger encryption algorithm for highly sensitive data.

Hid the “Trucks scheduled today” on tenants that were configured in a way that this value would always be zero. This would include most of the tenants on the system.

Fixed an issue with “Carry unfinished portion forward” where the freight and material had different units of measure so that it would calculate both correctly.

We fixed a couple places where the app may have been hanging due to database deadlocks or concurrency issues. This could happen when changes to the same job are made in rapid succession and the previous transaction hadn’t completed before the new transaction tried to update the database.
